I love winter mainly because of 2 things! 1. Because I don't sweat as much as I do in the summer lol and 2. because of all the cute things I get to wear! Here are my picks for what I think is in for this holiday/winter season! From the mittens to the type of face moisturizer good for winter, these are the must haves!

2013 Holiday Winter Fashion Trends by girlinasmalltown
A big thing I have seen lately is sweaters and cardigans. From aztec to the ugly grandma holiday sweaters, they are all so cute! Dark skinny jeans are must which you can pair with a vintage inspired winter boot. You can't forget about the slouchie pom pom beanies and holiday print mittens/gloves!

Vests to keep you warm are perfect paired with a flannel button up.

Any type of beanie to keep your little noggin warm is a go to.
Aztec cardigans are the new trend this winter and I have seen them everywhere! Don't let that stop you from getting yourself one. There are million different ones out there!
Whether it is for a Christmas party or just to wear in general, an "ugly" holiday sweater is the way to go! This cat sweater from Target is my favorite lol.
Shoes. Shoes. Shoes. I could never have enough shoes! The vintage inspired boots are my favorite and they are even better when meant to get dirty or be used in the snow! You can also add some boot warmers or pair them with wool socks!
Now to the accessories.
Statement necklaces have been a big thing I have seen throughout the fashion world of the internet. I even own a few of my own and they can paired with a plethora of outfits(like my word choice? I can use big words.)!
And we can't forget about tights that can be paired with a skirt or dress! Polka dot tights can add little extra to an outfit.
Scarves have always been a staple but cable knit scarves have been trending this winter season!
Now we have outerwear. You can go with a more dressier jacket/coat like a faux leather or khaki material one. If going for a more casual look, a fleece pullover will do the trick!

Winter Makeup Essentials by girlinasmalltown
These are my winter makeup essentials! These are products that are perfect for the winter time because our skin is prone to be dry.

Cranberry and red lips are perfect for the winter time! Matte smokey eyes are also great paired with those dark lips or just alone. You can sculpt the face with some matte mauve blush.

Long hair with waves or long curls will go great with any look. Spice it up with a little ombre on the ends of your hair!

To keep your hair out of your face, the fishtail braid is the way to go.

Light pink nails with a hint of gold sparkle will go great with any outfit. If you're really in the holiday spirit you can go with Christmas sweater inspired nails!
Hope everyone is having a great holiday season and remember to stay warm no matter what you wear! :)
